The "Safe City" concept was the highlight of the ABESE Arena during the International Security Fair, which runs until the 6th at São Paulo Expo. Among the companies present at the fair, Scati, a manufacturer of intelligent video systems, has distinguished itself through its solutions involving thermal cameras/radars, capable of detecting movement over long distances.
Called ThermalScan, the equipment features Spanish technology that offers 360° coverage, can detect and track multiple targets, such as people and vehicles, in adverse weather conditions, providing high-resolution images even in total darkness. "In the case of people, motion detection can be done up to 700 meters. For vehicles, up to 2 kilometers," explained Anderson Sena, responsible for the company's technical support.
The equipment is ideal for the complete protection of very large and irregular perimeter areas, such as ports and airports, and wilderness areas on land and at sea. “In Spain, for example, a company specializing in solar cells uses ThermalScan because of the undulating terrain. Our product simplifies the installation and maintenance of the system compared to conventional cameras,” said Sena.
Although the technology is of Spanish origin, Scati has a presence in Brazil and has observed good acceptance in the local market. "We have many clients here in the country, where we offer various solutions, but requests for thermal equipment are growing more and more," said the specialist.
Anderson also commented on visitor participation at the fair. “Everyone who saw ThermalScan liked it. Whenever they want something more, we take their suggestions to our team, who work to develop the best possible experience. Interaction with visitors is fundamental, as it allows us to continuously improve our products and meet our customers' expectations.”
