The official ceremony brought together representatives from the public sector, organizations, and market leaders, marking the start of three days of technology, content, and business.
EXPOSEC 2026 began this Monday (1st), at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo, bringing together authorities, business leaders, representative entities and market professionals for the opening of the largest security technology fair in Latin America.
In its 27th edition, the event reaffirms its role as the leading platform for business, innovation, and networking in the sector, showcasing solutions that reflect the transformations in public, private, and corporate security. Highlights include technologies focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, intelligent monitoring, biometrics, connectivity, access control, automation, and smart cities.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Maurício Duval Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil; Selma Migliori, president of ABESE (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies); Dr. Fabrício Schommer Kerber, Director of Administrative Police of the Federal Police; and Dr. Juliana Lopes Bussacos, Municipal Secretary of Urban Security of São Paulo.
During their speeches, authorities highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government, entities, and the private sector in strengthening security in the country, as well as the increasingly strategic role of technology in prevention, monitoring, risk management, and the protection of people and property.
One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the tribute paid by Fiera Milano Brasil to ABESE, in recognition of the organization's historical contribution to the development of the sector and to the consolidation of EXPOSEC as the main security event in Latin America.
The award was received by Selma Migliori, president of ABESE, who represented the organization during the ceremony. The recognition highlighted decades of work by the association in strengthening the market, promoting technological innovation, providing professional training, and defending the interests of the electronic security sector in Brazil.
In addition to the opening ceremony, the first day was marked by intense activity in the pavilions and a diverse program of technical and strategic content. Experts, authorities, and executives participated in panels and debates focused on the trends that are redefining the sector.
Visitors had access to demonstrations of advanced technologies, product launches, and solutions covering different segments of security, consolidating the fair as a strategic environment for professional development, business generation, and networking.
