CAME do Brasil presents access control solutions at Exposec 2017.

Among the highlights are the retractable pillars from CAME Urbaco that prevent attacks on vehicles in locations with high pedestrian traffic.

CAME do Brasil will present its portfolio of solutions at the 20th Exposec in São Paulo, from May 23rd to 25th, especially the retractable bollards of CAME Urbaco, the company's brand specializing in access control. At the company's booth, visitors will be able to learn about some of the solutions available to the national and international market, such as barriers, parking space reservation systems, automatic doors, turnstiles, retractable bollards, automated chains, and more.

During the three days of the fair, the company's booth will feature a device installed on a transparent base, allowing visualization of the retraction system (raising and lowering) during its operation. "We have a full-size model mounted on a structure that allows us to observe the operation of this incredible technology, used in large companies, government headquarters, and tourist attractions worldwide, and which is now also available for Latin America," explains the multinational's director, Marco Antônio Barbosa.

Another innovation is retractable bollards that can be used in high-traffic areas to prevent vehicle attacks. They can be activated remotely, allowing or restricting access with maximum efficiency. The solution is used in banks, companies, embassies of various countries, the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and even the Pentagon – headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense.

The bollards can also be used to prevent vehicle intrusions against public or private buildings; they can stop and hold vehicles at high speed against gates or walls, for example. The quality of CAME Urbaco's retractable bollards has already been tested in a crash test conducted with the ONE50EVO model bollard, in which two trucks collided with the bollard at a speed of 80 km/h and were destroyed without the bollard being removed. The test performed with the CAME model is available at the link https://youtu.be/SHbyW9OeTiQ.

The retractable bollard mechanism was also specially developed for access control to strategic locations. “Since July of last year, there have been approximately four recorded attacks using vehicles against pedestrians. The retractable bollard is an efficient alternative for blocking vehicles on streets, squares, monuments, or against properties such as transport companies and banks,” adds Barbosa.

The company also presents pillar models that can be used as power and water points. The pillar can also provide power and water points, reducing the amount of cables and hoses exposed on the streets in the case of events, maintenance, or even cleaning.

The equipment meets technical and aesthetic standards customized to the needs of the clients. Furthermore, CAME Urbaco develops access control systems combining beacons, controllers, electronic detectors, software, and other components.
