Welcome to the official website of Exposec, Exposec is the only business fair in Latin America that connects industry professionals with the biggest brands in Electronic, Public, Property, Personal, Private and Corporate Security. Before you begin your experience, we reinforce our commitment to the security and transparency related to the Personal Data of Exposec Visitors.

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) contains information about the Processing of Personal Data carried out by the Organizer and Producer during access to and participation in Exposec, through which the Visitor, as defined below, may participate in the event, access exclusive content provided, and connect with other participating professionals and companies.

Before registering for Exposec, we recommend reading and understanding the terms of the Privacy Policy.

When capitalized, the terms "Treatment," "Controller," "Operator," "Data Subject," "Subject," and "Personal Data" will have the meanings assigned to them in the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).

  1. Purpose of the Privacy Policy

The Organizer and the Producer value the security and confidentiality of information provided by Exposec Visitors (“Visitors”). For this reason, we have adopted the necessary measures to safeguard your rights, which can be found in this Privacy Policy, an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms of Use”).

This Privacy Policy details how we handle Personal Data and other information shared by Exposec Visitors, and explains how your Personal Data is collected, accessed, stored, used, processed, transferred and disclosed, and also how we allow the Visitor to access, rectify, delete or restrict the Processing of this Personal Data, when applicable.

The Organizer and the Producer reserve the right to unilaterally modify this Privacy Policy, ensuring, however, that Visitors are duly notified of any changes.

  1. Personal Data collected for access to Exposec

    1. Information and Personal Data required for creating a Visitor account and registering for Exposec.

The Event Organizer and Producer will request certain Personal Data for the purpose of creating a registration and enrollment for Exposec. For these purposes, the following Personal Data of the Visitor will be collected: Full name, Email, CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), Mobile phone number, Job title, Company/Workplace, how they arrived at the event, company's sector of activity, company's area of operation and company's area of interest, address, postal code, city, state.

    1. Information and Personal Data that the Visitor may choose to provide.

Visitors may choose to provide certain Personal Data to enhance their experience during their participation in Exposec, such as registration and receiving periodic mailings. This information and Personal Data will be processed based on consent, and Visitors may revoke their consent or opt out of receiving mailings when requested by the Event Organizer.

Furthermore, the Visitor may consent to the sharing of their Personal Data with Exposec's Sponsors and Exhibitors (“Partners”) for the purpose of promoting products and specific mailing lists from the Partners. The Visitor may revoke their consent or opt out of receiving the mailing list by requesting it directly from the Partners.

    1. Information and Personal Data collected during the Visitor's access to Exposec.

The event organizer and producer may collect browsing information, behavioral data, or Personal Data, automatically, to provide features that benefit Visitors and in accordance with the legitimate interests of the organizer and producer.

The Event Organizer and Producer use cookies, which are small text files that can be stored and accessed later by web servers. Cookies help analyze internet traffic or allow us to identify when a Visitor has accessed a specific website, as well as promote fraud and risk analysis and a better understanding of the Visitor.

Identification cookies allow us to store Visitors' preferences and customize their experience on Exposec, and can be disabled by the Visitor.

Furthermore, the Exposec website uses a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about platform usage. Google Analytics collects information such as: how visitors accessed the Exposec website, which pages were accessed, when the pages were accessed, and other websites visitors used before coming to Exposec. The information obtained by Google Analytics is used only to improve the website and services. Google Analytics only collects the IP address assigned to the visitor and the date of access to the website.

Although Google Analytics places a persistent cookie in the Visitor's web browser to identify them as a unique Visitor the next time they visit Exposec, the cookie cannot be used by any organization other than Google. The use and sharing of information collected by Google Analytics about visits to Exposec are restricted and regulated by Google Analytics' terms of service and privacy policy. The Visitor can prevent Google Analytics from identifying them when they return to Exposec by disabling cookies in their browser.

Exposec may contain links to third-party websites, which are not subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy. Visitors are advised to review the Privacy Policies of third parties before interacting with their websites.

  1. Sharing of Personal Data

The Personal Data collected during access to Exposec accreditation will be shared with the following third parties:

  • a. Sponsors and Exhibitors (“Partners”) of Exposec: The event organizer and promoter conduct specific campaigns and promotions with authorized Exposec Sponsors and Exhibitors (“Partners”). When a Visitor registers for Exposec, requests information, or purchases specific content from authorized Partners, their Personal Data may be shared with the Partners and included in their database for mailing and marketing activities, based on their consent. If the Visitor does not wish to receive communications from the Partners, they must opt out directly through the Partners' official communications and channels.
  • b. Payment methods: The Event Organizer may contract third parties, such as Acquirers, Payment Gateways, and Digital Wallets, to intermediate payments made for registration at Exposec. Only strictly necessary Personal Data will be shared with third parties, for the purpose of processing payments on behalf of the Event Organizer.
  • c. Infrastructure and Storage: The event organizers and producers are using the services of MBX Eventos Ltda to provide accreditation for Exposec.
  • d. Legal obligations and/or regular exercise of rights:  The Event Organizer and Producer may share Personal Data with public or private organizations in order to comply with legal obligations or exercise their rights against third parties, pursuant to Article 7, paragraphs II and VI.
  1. Legal Bases and Purposes for Processing Personal Data

The data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

Contract execution or preliminary procedures:

  • Register the visitor at Exposec;
  • Identify and authenticate the visitor at Exposec;
  • Contact the Visitor by email, mail, text message, SMS or telephone);
  • To address visitor requests/complaints/questions;

Consent:

  • Provision of Personal Data for mailing and specific actions promoted by the Event Organizer;

Legitimate Interest:

  • For the purpose of marketing products and partners of the Event Organizer and Producer;
  • For logistics operations;
  • To generate market intelligence;
  • For business performance analysis;
  • To conduct incentive campaigns;
  • To conduct a satisfaction survey;
  • For risk and fraud analysis involving Visitors or Third Parties;
  • To understand Platform usage patterns and implement improvements;
  • To generate knowledge, innovate and/or develop new products;
  • To display advertising to visitors during their access to Exposec;
  • To recommend Exposec services or features to the Visitor, including third-party services, that may be of interest to them.
  • To conduct audits;

Compliance with legal and/or regulatory obligations and regular exercise of rights in legal proceedings:

  • To comply with legal and/or regulatory obligations; or
  • For the regular exercise of rights in legal proceedings;
  1. Storage and Protection Methods for Personal Data

To mitigate the risks involving the loss or misuse of Personal Data, we have adopted technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security compatible with the activities carried out by the Event Organizer, namely:

  • Use of the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol for processing Personal Data and information at Exposec;
  • Control of access to Personal Data Processed during the visit to Exposec;
  • Establishment of obligations involving Data Protection with third parties and suppliers involved in the Processing of Personal Data for the provision of Exposec.

It is important to highlight that no processing of information or personal data is completely secure, and vulnerabilities and loopholes can be exploited by third parties. If you suspect any violation of the rules of this Privacy Policy, please contact us immediately through the contact channel indicated in item 10 below.

  1. International Transfer of Personal Data

The Event Organizer and the Event Producer may, if necessary, transfer Personal Data collected in Brazil to cloud storage located in the United States of America. In such cases, the Event Organizer and the Event Producer will take the necessary measures to ensure that Personal Data transferred to recipients in countries other than your country receives an adequate level of protection as required by Applicable Data Protection Laws.

  1. Rights of Data Subjects

By accessing Exposec and providing their Personal Data for event registration, the Visitor will have the following rights regarding their own Personal Data as provided by law:

a) Access to Personal Data: To be aware of the information and personal data processed by the organizer of Exposec; ;

b) Correction: Request the correction of Personal Data stored by the Organizer and Producer;

c) Removal from the Registry: Request the deletion of your registration on Exposec. In this case, some Personal Data may remain stored to comply with legal/regulatory obligations or to exercise the rights of the Organizer.

d) Revocation of Consent: Revoke consent for certain features by opting out, where applicable;

e) Portability: Request the portability of Personal Data in an interoperable format (as provided by the Event Organizer), such as a .txt file.

f) Review of Automated Decisions: Request a review of a decision made exclusively by automation that affects your interests, if applicable.

If necessary, please contact us through the channel indicated in item 10 below to exercise the rights provided for in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Personal Data Storage Period

The Personal Data of a given Visitor collected by the Organizer will be stored during the Visitor's registration period at Exposec and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, respecting the legal retention periods for Personal Data after this period, as necessary for the Organizer to fulfill their contractual or legal obligations or defend themselves in judicial or administrative proceedings.

The Organizer and the Producer reserve the right to unilaterally modify this Privacy Policy, ensuring, however, that you are notified of such changes. We will keep any new versions of this Privacy Policy publicly accessible on our website.
