Exhibitors will present innovative solutions to ensure greater safety in public or private areas.
São Paulo, April 2018Earlier this month, news broke that a Chinese citizen was prisoner recently when his face was identified by systems of Facial recognition, even in the middle of a crowd, has generated heated debates about the use of the technology.. But in reality, the system is already a reality and will be one of the attractions of... Exposec 2018 – International Security Fair, which takes place between May 22nd and 24th at the São Paulo Expo Center.
Bycon will present its new Facial Recognition Appliance integrated with a hybrid DVR. According to Edvaldo Pereira, the company's Technology Director, this system allows for the recognition of people through their faces as a unique identification method or to work in conjunction with various other biometric identification methods, cards, and others. "It consists of integrated use with a DVR that accepts any standard camera on the market and a list management software," explains Pereira. "All the information of the identified individuals is sent to the DVR, allowing them to be tracked by all the cameras they passed through within a company and during a specific period of time."“
The management software allows identified individuals to be treated according to lists such as wanted individuals, VIPs, and to be granted or denied access, among other criteria.
“This system is intended for any market niche that wants to implement the identification of people through their faces and track them through recordings. There are countless possibilities, such as a hospital that wants to avoid the need for doctors to handle cards when entering the operating room, to prevent contamination; access would only be allowed through facial recognition,” says Pereira.
Hikvision Brazil will be showcasing its Deep in View camera line at Exposec. These cameras have the ability to perform facial recognition (even after a long period of time), based on information such as the distance between a person's facial bones. "For example, a missing child could be identified by the equipment even in adulthood," explains Osvaldo Nogueira, the company's Technical Coordinator.
According to Nogueira, the camera serves both public and private organizations, from public safety institutions to airports, sports arenas, and locations with large concentrations and circulation of people in general. "This line allows for high-resolution identification of people, even after a long period of time, due to its artificial intelligence functionalities and analytics software," he assures.
Vehicle control
Acura, for its part, will be showcasing the AUTO-ID SECURE Solution for Vehicle Access Control with the EDGE-40 Reader and T7 Tags. According to the company's Commercial Director, Marcelo Hideki, the main feature of the equipment is that the tags can be attached to the headlights of cars and motorcycles, allowing for the identification of virtually 100% of vehicles, in addition to offering greater ease and speed of installation.
AUTO-ID SECURE is designed for any application requiring automatic vehicle access control, such as residential and commercial condominiums, shopping malls, companies, hospitals, universities, and others. "This solution eliminates the problems that every RFID (UHF) vehicle access control project has, which are the failures in reading certain armored vehicles or those with windshields with metallized films, and also in identifying motorcycles, since the T7C tag, due to its resistance to weathering, abrasive products, and high temperatures, can be attached to the headlights of these vehicles," says Hideki.
