Salvador, March 28, 2019 – Startups with emerging security technologies and business models will have the opportunity to present themselves to more than 45,000 participants during EXPOSEC 2019 – which will take place from May 21 to 23 in São Paulo. The Startup Island, developed by ABESE – the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies – will accept project applications until April 19. To register, simply visit the website:https://startup.abese.org.br/
Startups must present innovative and functional products or business models for the security sector (directly or indirectly). Furthermore, the solution must be able to encompass the national or global market. In total, 8 companies will be selected to receive a space with all the necessary infrastructure during Exposec 2019.
The first phase of the selection process will be presented on April 22nd – with the announcement of the finalists – and on May 1st, the selected candidates will be presented to the public.
“The ABESE Startup Committee was designed to bring the traditional security sector closer to new entrepreneurs, accelerating the validation, development, and expansion of new businesses for the entire sector,” explains Edson Pacheco, coordinator of the ABESE Startup Committee.
The electronic security sector in Brazil generated R$6.52 billion in revenue last year, a growth of 81% – and the opportunities for 2019 could be even greater. “The electronic security sector is increasingly becoming an attractive market interested in innovative and technological solutions. The forecast is that it will grow by 10% this year,” adds Selma Migliori, president of ABESE.
