São Paulo, May 2019 – A Exposec – International Security Fair,Organized by Cipa Fiera Milano in partnership with ABESE (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies), it is the only event in Brazil to bring together the latest technologies, products and services for the security sector, in addition to attracting national and international buyers from across the production chain in an area of 40,000 m², providing a conducive environment for business generation and networking.
With a revenue of R$6.52 billion in the country in 2018, an increase of 8% compared to 2017, the sector expects to grow by 1% this year, driven by new technologies that facilitate the installation and use of security solutions. The data comes from the National Survey on Electronic Security, conducted by SMG exclusively for ABESE with industries, distributors, and service providers throughout the country, which also indicated that among the most sought-after solutions are: video surveillance and wired and wireless alarm systems..

Arena Drone: the application of equipment in property security.

During the three-day event, an exclusive space will showcase the latest innovations and technological advancements in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), better known as drones. Visitors will be able to participate in the Drone Experience, where they will have the opportunity to pilot various professional models and watch demonstrations from exhibitors. In the 2019 edition, the highlight of the Drone Arena will be the refinement of high-quality images that promise to make a difference in property security monitoring. Better known in the professional sector as Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, they are primarily used for monitoring large areas.
ABESE Arena Connect
Visitors will be able to follow the projects of large institutions, based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in IoT Engagers Island, during Exposec 2019. The applications reach the fields of education, sustainability, security and analytics.
IoT has gained ground in security solutions and has already become one of the sector's main investments. The event is organized by ABESE, which is part of the IoT Chamber of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC). The organization will be present to present the National IoT Plan.
Also noteworthy is the Smart São Paulo Island, which will house a virtual reality reproduction, where visitors will use 3D glasses to learn details of the revolutionary preventive security project being implemented in the Hospital das Clínicas region, in the city of São Paulo. As for... Startup IslandIt will bring together nine early-stage companies to showcase their potentially innovative solutions for the electronic security market.
Industry professionals will also be able to follow along Brazilian IoT Forum, comprised of companies, experts, and stakeholders interested in the topic, whose objective is to build a Strategic Agenda for Research, Development, and Innovation.
Universities present research results based on the Internet of Things (IoT Engagers Island)
University of São Paulo (USP)Researchers will present the results achieved by the Interdisciplinary Center for Interactive Technologies at USP (University of São Paulo) at the ABESE Connect Arena. The open IoT platform called Caninos Loucos (Crazy Dogs) brings together a family of boards with diverse applications. During Exposec, visitors will be able to learn about solutions based on the Labrador Board, which enables applications for video analytics.
Mackenzie Presbyterian College– participates with a BIG DATA laboratory and applied analytical methods. Researchers will present three ongoing projects: a prototype electronic lock that can be linked to facial recognition; a prototype smart aquarium capable of collecting temperature, pH, and feeding schedule information; and the facial recognition project, the result of a master's and a doctoral thesis at the institution.
Mauá School of Engineering– will bring to the ABESE Connect Arena the Smart Campus platform, developed to boost and democratize the use of IoT in Education 4.0. The system, deployed on the São Caetano do Sul (SP) Campus, brings together a series of experimental sensors that send encrypted data to a smart concentrator antenna (Gateway).
The 1st ESS Integrated Condominium Seminar will discuss human capacity building for integration with technologies.
In addition to the various spaces dedicated to advanced technologies at Exposec 2019, human interaction with Industry 4.0 will be the focus of discussion at the 1st ESS Integrated Condominium Seminar. .
Organized by the Higher School of Security, the seminar will discuss the importance of the human element, even with the increasing intelligence of machines. Its program will cover topics such as master plans and modern strategic planning for condominiums; artificial intelligence applied to condominium security; new IoT technologies; and the impact of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) on security.

A Tecvoz, a company specializing in camera solutions and monitoring, has joined forces with InovaMind, an Artificial Intelligence startup, to launch its solution at Exposec 2019. Video Analytics.The platform uses videos captured by security cameras to analyze and monitor faces and bodies, and has the intelligence to identify dangerous individuals by cross-referencing police databases.
