Arena ABESE Connect at Exposec brings together impactful solutions and programming for the sector.

The innovation hub between electronic security, public authorities, and companies will feature space for startups, education, and lectures.

Exposec 2022 will feature an innovation hub for Electronic Security, the ABESE Connect Arena. Curated by the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies (Abese), the space will include an Innovation Island, a Startup Island, and an auditorium that will host lectures on key market topics such as public-private partnerships, technology for condominiums, and remote access control, with leading industry experts, public authorities, and security managers.

Abese Auditorium Connect

The 500m² area within the main security event in Latin America will feature an auditorium for lectures during the three days of Exposec, from June 7th to 9th. The program has been divided into thematic areas: Connected Partnerships; Connecting Condominiums and Security Technologies; Innovation Actions Connecting Public and Private Organizations and Transforming Cities.

The first day begins at 2:30 PM with the opening speech by the president of Abese, Selma Migliori, entitled "Connected Security via Public-Private Partnerships," with the presence of General João Camilo Pires de Campos, Secretary of State, and Elza Paulina de Souza, Municipal Secretary of Urban Security. Following this, the stage will host representatives from the city of São Paulo for a presentation on the urban security project in partnership with Abese, called Detecta. The program will also include debates on "Code of Conduct as a tool for prevention and business performance" and "The end consumer's perspective: the impacts of security on business.".

The second day will be dedicated to condominiums, with debates on the topics: “Myths and truths about Remote Concierge services”, “Condominium Manager: how far does responsibility extend in relation to security technologies?” and “How do technologies help condominium managers of commercial buildings?”. Thursday, the last day of the fair, will host public sector actors and entities from the Brazilian innovation ecosystem to discuss the impact of technology on the lives of Brazilian municipalities. The program will include participants from the Terra2 Inova National Innovation Program, who will occupy a special area within the arena.

Connect with the Brazilian innovation ecosystem.

The arena will provide free space for seven initiatives from entities within the Terra2 Inova National Innovation Program ecosystem, co-founded by Abese, which have disruptive projects and actions that will be presented to invited authorities and the entire public of the fair. The selected entities were the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), the Institute of Exponential Technologies (ITEX), BNDES, INOVA USP, the Center for Studies and Research of the North and Northeast (NEPEN), and the ABC Development Agency.

PNIT2I is an Internet of Things mobilization project with the mission of fostering the innovation ecosystem. On the last day of the event, there will be a chance to connect with the project's proposal, which will be presented in the panel "Inside the Terra2 Inova Program promoted by ABESE," at 2 pm in the arena auditorium, with the presence of the Coordinator of Industrial Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Guilherme de Paula Corrêa. At 4 pm, there will be a debate on "Innovation Projects with Academic Impact and R&D in the economic development of municipalities," with representatives from the selected entities.

Startup Island

The Arena will also bring together startups with solutions that are directly or indirectly related to the electronic security segment. The space will be provided so that companies can present disruptive and functional solutions at the largest showcase of the segment in Latin America, which is resuming in-person activities this year. According to the president of Abese, Selma Migliori, "it is essential that innovation be the protagonist in all events that are committed to the future.".

In total, five startups were selected by the ABESE Startup Committee, including LANUP, which arrives at the event with a proposal to solve one of the pain points in the electronic security market: the lack of qualified labor. The company offers a complete operational management platform for the entire team journey, automating the recruitment, selection, and qualification process before hiring, and also handles the management of professionals already active in the company.

With a focus on the smart city ecosystem, OMNICOG aims to use artificial intelligence to guide decisions related to traffic, tourism, education, and public safety. The startup focuses on the smart city concept with a technological solution that assists human vision in optimizing the management of a range of relevant needs. In practice, the algorithm applied to public management, for example, helps to proactively analyze highway problems such as potholes and signage, as well as irregular driver behavior, among other possibilities.

Another startup that will be present is NOLEAK DEFENCE, which aims to optimize resources in the monitoring center so that companies can grow sustainably. A significant differentiator in a market that continues to attract new clients.

Developed by the startup INTRALAB IO, the LUCY artificial intelligence is the first to integrate security, automation, and monitoring. With a B2B model, the solution enables electronic security companies to meet the most specific demands of the end consumer. The LUCY platform interacts with more than 40 devices from different manufacturers and continues to evolve to absorb new needs in a customized way for different scenarios.

Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) has become a hot topic for companies across the country. With questions about how to implement its requirements, the process can be made easier thanks to innovation. The startup PALQEE, which has created a platform offering efficient privacy management and data governance in Brazil, is already helping companies comply with their legal obligations and increasing their competitiveness in the market.

Exposec – the International Security Fair – will take place from June 7th to 9th at Expo São Paulo, in the city of São Paulo. The innovation hub, Arena Abese Conecte-se, will feature a special program for all days of the event. For more information, visit: https://abese.org.br/exposec/
