Alfa Sense brings to the Exposec/2023 audience the possibility of interaction and real-world experience with two advanced perimeter security solutions, a "test drive" of its technologies. The FENCE LITE® solution, launched in October 2019, won the prestigious Tele.Síntese/2020 National Innovation Award as the most innovative technology for the electronic security market. Designed for medium-sized perimeters up to 4km, with high complexity, it stands out for its versatility and efficiency in perimeter protection, transforming a fiber optic cable into a distributed "microphone" and thus proactively detecting all types of events that occur along the perimeter before intrusion. This is achieved through software with advanced reading of special algorithms that convert these events into unique signatures, like a "fingerprint," thus accurately filtering and classifying events on the perimeter that do not represent a danger, such as rain, strong wind, birds, small animals, etc., and precisely triggering alarms only for events that represent a danger, such as an attempt to cut the fence, climbing, footsteps, etc.,

FENCE SMART®, launched in September 2022, is set to revolutionize the security market. Among its key differentiators is the ability to monitor large distances of up to 20km of fiber optic cable with just one control panel, and its proactive detection of intrusion attempts in real time, thanks to an advanced geolocation system based on flexible and unlimited virtual zones that accurately detects, classifies, and locates any event before an intrusion occurs.
The technologies developed and manufactured by Alfa Sense have significant advantages, as they utilize common optical fiber as an optical sensor, without electrical or electronic components in the field, for perimeter monitoring. The optical sensor is robust and durable, immune to lightning, weather, sea air, and any type of electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio interference (RFI), and comes with a 25-year warranty.
The advanced FENCE LITE and FENCE SMART® solutions integrate quickly and easily with alarm panels, access control systems, equipment and software such as VMS, NVR, DVR, drones, and other devices. They can automatically direct a camera, activate lights or a sound signal in the field for an immediate response from the operator, thus transforming any perimeter into a high-security barrier.
Also, in an innovative and sustainable way, it protects even sections underground – a very important feature for perimeter security, where it is not possible to build walls or fences in Environmental Protection Areas (APAs) or Permanent Protection Areas (APPS), simply installing the fiber optic cable in the ground creates a virtual protective barrier for precise detection of footsteps and vehicles; it can also be used to monitor restricted access areas, preventing accidents and preserving lives.
