Trend Micro co-founder is one of the 100 most important women in cybersecurity.

Trend Micro announces that its CEO and co-founder, Eva Chen, has been recognized as one of the most influential women in the cybersecurity industry. She is alongside many of the sector's most respected and well-known women on the 2020 Top 100 Women in Cybersecurity list, compiled by Cyber Defense Magazine, which recognizes women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and cybersecurity expertise over the past year.

“It’s an honor to be part of such an important list alongside so many other powerful women in the cybersecurity industry,” says Eva Chen. “In fact, there are well over 100 outstanding women working in our industry today, and it’s my mission to ensure that we encourage even more women to consider careers in cybersecurity in the future. I am pleased to accept this recognition on behalf of our more than 6,700 immensely talented and passionate employees who have helped this company continually anticipate trends and redefine the market.”

This award comes just weeks after Chen was Named on CRN's Top 100 Executives list of 2020., which recognizes individuals who have “demonstrated exemplary leadership and innovative ideas.”

Trend Micro's leadership propelled several projects to advance its role as a leading technology and cybersecurity company last year, including the acquisition of Cloud Conformity to provide cloud-based security posture management capabilities and the launch of the company's unified security platform, Trend Micro Cloud One, which offers protection across workloads, containers, file object warehouses, serverless applications, and network environments.

Eva Chen also remained dedicated to Trend Micro's philanthropic initiatives, including a new partnership with Girls in Tech to help reduce the gender gap in cybersecurity, and openly advocates for greater diversity – both in the industry and in society at large. She remains as committed as ever to guiding Trend Micro and its customers through a period of global uncertainty and heightened cybersecurity risk.
