Salvador, May 17, 2017 – The second generation of the Masterpass digital payment platform has just arrived in Brazil. With a new visual design, the solution halves the steps required for card registration, guaranteeing consumers greater efficiency from entering their personal and payment information to completing the purchase.
The new features of the latest version of Masterpass include:
– Automatic digital wallet identification: consumers no longer need to choose between the main wallet or the digital wallet of a specific issuer. Now, this recognition is done automatically, using the first digits of the card. In other words, customers of Caixa, Porto Seguro, BRB, Banrisul, and Renner (who already have their own wallets on the platform) will now be automatically recognized, without any additional information being entered.
– Dynamic button: Cardholders from the five issuers that already have their own wallets on the Masterpass platform will see the name of their financial institution on the payment button. This allows for a more personalized shopping experience for the user.
– Easy access to the wallet and checkout process: for each purchase, the consumer will only need to enter a password to authenticate the transaction. Their email address will automatically appear on the screen after clicking the payment button. And personal and payment information will be stored securely.
– Password recovery via SMS or email: in addition to increased security, recovery by phone or email makes the process more efficient.
– New design: In addition to the change in colors and fonts, the Masterpass platform is also more adaptable for viewing on mobile devices, such as cell phones and tablets.
In addition to the new features, Masterpass already has a wide acceptance network, which includes establishments such as Ingresso.com, Renner, CVC, Petz, C&C, Ricardo Eletro, Etna, among others. Furthermore, Masterpass technology is embedded in the Bob's fast-food chain app, which allows users to remotely place and pay for orders to be picked up at the counter in their stores.
Launched as a tool offering simplicity, speed, convenience, and security, Masterpass brings a new shopping experience to consumers, eliminating barriers to digital payments. Mastercard is the first network to deliver a fully digital, multi-channel payment service to consumers, issuers, and merchants, featuring the most advanced payment security methods currently available.
