The event saw a 30% increase in pre-registrations, with 85% of that audience being decision-makers; technology will gain even more prominence in the 26th edition.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

S\u00e3o Paulo, June 2024 \u2013 <\/b>Exposec registered consecutive records in its last two editions, and this year was no different, with an increase and qualification of the public and, furthermore, a gain of 10% in the exhibition area. These positive indicators strengthen the 2025 edition of the largest security fair in Latin America, which will broaden its focus to the technology area, giving more prominence to sectors already present at the event. More than 57,806 visitors circulated through S\u00e3o Paulo Expo, from June 4th to 6th.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the sectors are automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and small internet service providers. \u201cWe received over 800 brands and noticed a great evolution in the industry. We had a 30% increase in the number of pre-registrations this year, and what is most striking is that\u2026\u201d <\/span>"85% of this audience is made up of decision-makers," says Maur\u00edcio Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 26th edition of Exposec, which officially changes its name to International Security Technology Fair, is confirmed to take place between June 10th and 12th, 2025, at S\u00e3o Paulo Expo. The addition of 'technology' to the name reinforces the global DNA and scope of the fair. \u2018We have noticed many compliments regarding the quality of the audience and the presence of 31 countries. Exhibitors are managing to close good deals and the contract renewal rate is significant,\u2019 adds Macedo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The expansion of the trade fair follows the sector's positive results, which closed 2023 with a turnover of over R$ 12 billion and an average growth of 13.75%. The expectation is to increase this value to 18.5% in 2024, according to indicators from Abese (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies).<\/span><\/p>\n

Selma Migliori, president of Abese, highlighted that by encompassing new sectors, the fair reaffirms its commitment to promoting a major meeting point to discuss issues, share knowledge, and explore solutions that can shape a safer future and, with that, become increasingly specialized as a security technology. Currently, embedded AI features are already present in 54% of security products manufactured in Brazil, according to the latest Panorama of the Electronic Security Sector, released by the association.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have reached the end of another historic edition. It was three intense days, full of learning, innovation, and collaboration. I am immensely grateful for the presence of everyone \u2013 exhibitors, speakers, visitors, and partners \u2013 who contributed to the success of this event. The 25th Exposec once again demonstrated the strength and unity of our sector. We discussed essential topics, such as AI and its implications for electronic security, a field that is no longer just a future promise, but a transformative reality of the present. And, of course, we are already preparing for the next edition, with many new features, including the expansion of the automation, AI, and cybersecurity sectors. Rest assured that we will continue working hard to maintain this event at the highest level of excellence,\u201d comments the president.<\/span><\/p>\n

William Franco, 1NCE's commercial director for Latin America, highlighted that the company celebrated its launch in Brazil with its first participation in the event. \u201cWe used our space to do business. We sold directly at our booth, and those who didn't close a deal could take products for a trial period. The sales volume was high, reaching levels projected for months ahead. We've already signed the contract for next year!\u201d he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

JFL Alarmes, which has participated in the fair for 20 years, also believes that Exposec is a great showcase to display its products to a qualified audience. \u201cWe base our product launches on the date of the fair. In this edition, we brought the new line of gate motors and automation systems, two new collective control panels for condominiums, which caught the public's attention and generated considerable demand for the products, in addition to launching the line of access control using facial recognition. The public surprised us, as the attendance was massive, which pleased us greatly,\u201d says Rodrigo Monteiro, marketing coordinator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inova USP Project<\/b><\/p>\n

Among the projects that gained visibility at Exposec is Inova USP, a partnership between the Innovation Center of USP (University of S\u00e3o Paulo) and Abese, which aims to bring cutting-edge research to the electronic security market. Funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology at the federal level, the initiative has been developing Caninos Loucos, which seeks to reduce costs and increase the performance of security products manufactured in Brazil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative gave rise to Project Sentinel, developed by USP (University of S\u00e3o Paulo) in conjunction with the S\u00e3o Paulo State Military Police and sponsored by BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank). The aim is to place the technology inside patrol cars, with a complete device that includes a conventional camera with a base plate and programmed with Artificial Intelligence to understand patterns, such as firearms, vehicle collisions, verification of license plates of possible stolen vehicles, and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe camera is positioned on top of the dashboard, facing outwards. It captures images while artificial intelligence analyzes them. The information is sent to the cloud, to the mainframe computer. When it identifies, for example, a car's license plate, it only checks if that plate is stolen or not. The device connects to a very low-cost internet connection, one to two dollars a year, and sends a police report directly to the central office in three seconds, to trigger the Military Police response,\u201d explains Robson Arantes, innovation manager at Abese.<\/span><\/p>\n
