Considered a world leader in access control products in the security market and with branches in more than 20 countries, the Came<\/a> Came do Brasil is celebrating 15 years of operation in Brazil, where it began its activities in April 2010. Since then, it has steadily expanded its market share and doubled in size since 2021. As a reflection of this expansion, Came do Brasil is about to relocate its headquarters and move its production to a new factory in Indaiatuba (SP), whose inauguration is scheduled for this year. Before that, the company's director, Marco Barbosa, confirmed the projection of closing the first half of 2025 with a 35% increase in sales compared to the same period in 2024 and celebrated the company's constant evolution in Brazilian territory.
\nThis growth forecast was revealed before Came's participation as an exhibitor, from June 10th to 12th, for the 13th time at Exposec, the International Security Technology Fair, at the S\u00e3o Paulo Exhibition & Convention Center, where it will present three new pieces of equipment to be added to its portfolio from the second half of the year: a turnstile gate model and two other gate automation systems, made entirely of stainless steel, which will be good low-cost options and will serve a larger universe of clients in the high-protection segment. And recalling the multinational's history in Brazil, Barbosa highlights the increasingly diversified product offering that the company has provided to its clients throughout its 15 years of operation in the country.
\n\u201cCame began in April 2010 as a strategic investment by the group for the Americas. For South America, the company's strategic development point was Brazil, which was prominent and growing significantly. So, the choice to open a branch here was logical. Initially, we only worked with imported products, basically gate barriers and motors. But, over the following years, gate barriers became a standout product for the Brazilian unit, to the point that we started assembling them locally in order to offer them at a more competitive price. And the process of strengthening the brand as a gate barrier supplier had a great impact due to the quality they presented,\u201d emphasizes the director, before highlighting the variety of equipment that the multinational has managed to add to its portfolio in the country.
\n\u201cFrom then on, Came naturally began producing an increasingly wider range of access control products, such as parking space reservation systems, automatic doors and doors with metal detectors, as well as high-security equipment, a niche in which the company excelled with...\u00a0bollards<\/i>\u00a0e\u00a0roadblockers<\/i>\u00a0(retractable barriers capable of withstanding strong impacts), in addition to tiger claws (tire shredders fixed to the ground) and even gates resistant to impacts from heavy vehicles such as trucks, which contributed to it becoming the benchmark it is today in the market,\u201d Barbosa reinforces.
\nA range of these devices will be on display at the company's booth at the upcoming Exposec, in a 180 m\u00b2 space, where they will be shown in operation and visitors will be able to operate them via the Came Connect app, downloaded to their smartphones. The excellent reception these products are receiving in different segments, coupled with a growing concern among customers to protect themselves against crime, is reflected in a high volume of business for the multinational in Brazil in 2025.
\n\u201cIf we compare it to the same period in 2024, in this first semester we will grow by more than 35% overall. So, it's quite significant growth, especially since the second half of the year is usually stronger for us than the first in terms of sales. And we understand that companies are looking for systems that allow for better access control within their structures and greater security and confidence in safeguarding their assets as a whole,\u201d explains Barbosa, who also makes an optimistic projection when envisioning the company's next steps in Brazil. \u201cWe believe that if we continue at this current pace, we will end up doubling in size again in the next four years. We are very focused on this and, above all, on offering more and more of the products that Came has abroad, which integrate a very large range that we bring gradually, as the market reacts favorably to the new equipment and technologies available here,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n

Marking its 15th anniversary, the new factory symbolizes expansion.<\/h2>\n

Built with a planned investment of approximately R$3.5 million and with three times the space of its current manufacturing plant, Came's new factory will be inaugurated shortly after the company completes 15 years of operation in Brazil and symbolizes the company's continued expansion in the country, now an important strategic base for the multinational worldwide. This fact was highlighted by Andrea Menuzzo, global CEO of the Italian-origin group, in February, when he visited the branch in Indaiatuba (SP) and commented on the need for investment in the production structure to meet the growing demands of the Brazilian unit's clients, which in 2024 had an approximate turnover of R$45 million and increased its sales of products, projects and services by more than 30% overall, and by more than 5% in the high-security sub-segment compared to the 12-month cycle of 2023.
\nIn its new industrial hub, Came will have a greater number of equipment assembly lines, increased product storage capacity, and improved logistical efficiency. \u201cThe move to the new building is expected to take place in July or early August. Currently, we are adapting the site to our new needs, expanding production capacity, inventory, and organizing all aspects of logistics to meet the increased demand we've seen in recent years, whether for access control or high-security materials. This will also allow us to bring other products from abroad to the Brazilian market, whether finished products or partially assembled ones, as we do today with our gates. It will be a great opportunity to expand our portfolio and consequently continue growing aggressively,\u201d emphasizes the director of Came Brazil.<\/p>\n

Exposec has been a key ally for growth since 2011.<\/h2>\n

After starting its operations in Brazil in 2010, Came began participating in Exposec<\/a> In 2011, it was present annually at all subsequent editions of the fair until 2019, and then between 2022 and 2024 \u2013 in 2020 and 2021, the event ended up being canceled due to the new coronavirus pandemic. And before the company exhibits its products and services for the 13th time at this major international security technology event, Barbosa praises the attraction as a fundamental showcase that has helped boost the company's business over these 15 years of activity in the country.
\n\u201cHere at Came, we quickly understood that, despite being in the field practically every month of the year visiting all over Brazil, we can't achieve the same level of accessibility, being everywhere and getting to know all the clients, because it's practically impossible. Even though we travel, research, gather information, and invest a lot of money throughout the year visiting clients, we realized that the trade show is a catalyst for potential consumers. And it's at Exposec that everyone gathers to see the latest innovations in the security and access control market. So, the partnership we formed with the event happened naturally, allowing us to showcase our best products from abroad, which serve the entire world and can also serve the Brazilian market here,\u201d emphasizes the director of the Brazilian branch of the multinational company.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe success of the fair for us is precisely being able to have this proximity to customers that we often can't detect on our radar, but that we end up getting to know when they visit our booth, where we have more opportunities to do business and get our products known in each of their regions because each customer has a specific need and, through this closer contact, we can adapt them according to our products,\u201d Barbosa emphasizes.<\/p>\n

Landscape of violence helps fuel expansion.<\/h2>\n

A recent survey conducted by the Datafolha Institute, which interviewed 3,054 people from 172 municipalities between April 1st and 3rd, indicated that 58% of Brazilians perceived an increase in crime in their cities. Amid this panorama of growing concern about violence, the latest edition of the Brazilian Public Security Yearbook highlighted that R$137.9 billion was spent in the country on financing public security policies in 2023, an increase of 4.9% compared to the amount spent for this purpose in 2022.
\nThe numbers reflect the reality for Brazilians, who have lived with alarming crime rates for decades. And since the beginning of its operations in the country, Came has seen the growing demand from the population for greater protection help drive the expansion of its business nationwide.
\n\u201cOver these 15 years, Came do Brasil has grown alongside the security market here. And given that we have a country with chronic security problems that are not solved by the public authorities, companies in our sector end up being one of the possibilities to bring this feeling of greater security because we provide products that inhibit some type of intrusion or the possibility of having property stolen from people.
