This is the Urbaco BeNRJ, the first retractable pillar that functions as a power and light point. When activated, it lifts off the ground. It has sockets for plugging in electrical appliances, and also a water passage for connecting pipes or hoses. When switched off, it lowers again, taking up no space.

The product was developed for use in public spaces, such as squares and streets, that host events, but also for businesses. Because it is retractable, it can be installed anywhere, as it does not obstruct accessibility for pedestrians, cars, or other vehicles.

“Imagine Carnival, where sound trucks and stages are set up along avenues in various cities. We need to have a sound and restroom infrastructure in these locations. This pillar can be installed in several points, activated for use, and then disappears after being turned off. This way you avoid illegal connections or installations that could pose risks to the public,” explains Marco Barbosa, director of Came do Brasil.

Another function widely used abroad – where the pillar is already a reality – is security. "Installed at strategic points in a capital city, it can much more practically assist in supplying water to a fire truck, for example, and also, in the event of large fires, provide electrical support to set up a first aid station for victims," adds Barbosa.

Urbaco BeNRJ will be presented to Brazilians during Exposec, the main security industry trade show in Latin America, which takes place between May 22nd and 24th at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo.

Source: IPESI – SP
Date: 22/02/2018

A Came do Brasil – empresa de origem italiana com mais de 40 anos no mercado – traz para o país mais uma tecnologia inovadora e exclusiva.
