São Paulo, May 21, 2019 Organized and promoted by Cipa Fiera Milano in partnership with ABESE – Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies, the 22nd Exposec – International Security Fair It takes place from May 21st to 23rd at São Paulo Expo. The event gains importance at a time when the population is showing increasing concern about the escalation of violence in the country.
With a revenue of R$6.52 billion in the country in 2018, an increase of 81% compared to 2017, the sector expects to grow by 10% this year, driven by new technologies that facilitate the installation and use of security solutions. The data comes from the National Survey on Electronic Security, conducted by SMG exclusively for ABESE (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies) with industries, distributors, and service providers throughout the country, which also indicated that among the most sought-after solutions... “The estimate indicates that, more than just numbers, there will be growth in the sector's participation in society – encompassing the public, private, and now residential sectors. The search for technology solutions is based on the feeling of insecurity that particularly frightens urban centers,” explains Selma Migliori, president of ABESE.
In addition to the major new products and launches that will be presented by more than 800 exhibiting brands in electronic, private, personal, public, property and business security, the fair will have a very intense program of congresses and other parallel events for the approximately 45,000 visitors.
“In this edition, we will have the ABESE Arena Connect with diverse activities. Among them are the Startup Island, with innovative solutions for the electronic security market; the Smart São Paulo Island, which will house a virtual reality reproduction of the revolutionary preventive security project being implemented in the Hospital das Clínicas region, in the capital of São Paulo; and the IoT Engagers Island to bring the latest news in digital interconnection to the public,” says Rimantas Sipas, commercial director of Cipa Fiera Milano, promoter of the event in partnership with ABESE.

Arena Drone
From May 21st to 23rd, from 1 PM to 8 PM, Cipa Fiera Milano will host various demonstrations of sophisticated drones with potential use in the security industry at the Drone Arena. Visitors can participate in the Drone Experience, and will have the opportunity to pilot several professional models and watch demonstrations from exhibitors. In the 2019 edition, the main highlight of the drones will be the refinement of high-quality images that promise to make a difference in property security monitoring.
ABESE Startup Island
Visitors to the ABESE Startup Island will be able to check out early-stage companies showcasing their potentially innovative solutions for the electronic security market.
Exposhow – Exhibitor Presentation
Exposhow, which takes place over three days, is a free event for visitors focused on updating technical knowledge, showcasing products and services, technologies, partnerships, and new market trends for participants.
Magnum Show - Always keeping up with technological advancements and innovations in the security field, Exposec created the Mostra Magnum Show, an area dedicated to the exhibition of weapons and related products.
2nd Congress on Safety in Hospitality
During the three days of the fair, ESS – Escola Superior de Segurança (Higher School of Security) will hold the 2nd Hospitality Security Congress, focusing on hospitals, shopping centers, and hotels. Among the planned presentations are contingency plans for major disasters, a master plan aligned with safety, and integration between public agencies for security in the vicinity of facilities.
1st ESS Integrated Condominium Seminar – Far beyond 4.0, integrating people and technologies.
The event is organized by ESS – Escola Superior de Segurança (Higher School of Security) and takes place on the 23rd. Its program includes discussions on topics such as master plans and modern strategic planning for condominiums; artificial intelligence applied to condominium security; new Internet of Things (IoT) technologies; and the impact of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) on security. Presentations will be given by professionals from ESS, specialized consultancies, and suppliers in the electronic security sector. At the end of the sessions, which will last a total of 5 and a half hours, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
Parking Lab Expo – Running concurrently with Exposec, the Parking Lab Expo will bring together parking professionals from across the country between May 21st and 23rd at São Paulo Expo. The event will showcase new technologies and trends for the sector, which in São Paulo alone has over 500,000 parking spaces distributed across 5,400 parking lots, generating approximately 18,000 jobs and serving 60 million vehicles per month, according to Wellington Martins, a Parking Management specialist.
