Access control and gatehouse

Solutions for property and personal security will be highlighted at Exposec – International Security Fair, which takes place in June.

The leading event in the sector in Latin America will bring together companies that invest in advanced systems for controlling access for people and goods, as well as remote gatekeeping.

São Paulo, May 2023 Property security is undoubtedly a very sensitive issue for companies, stores, and residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. It's a matter directly related to two widely used concepts for improving the protection of assets and people: access control and remote gatekeeping.

There are two divisions. Key players in the electronic security market who will be highlighted at the 24th edition of Exposec – International Security Fair, one of the largest events in the sector in Latin America.

Exposec It opens its doors between June 13th and 15th in São Paulo and will present product and service innovations in the segments of private, personal, public, property and business electronic security.

According to the 2022 Brazilian Public Security Yearbook, Brazil registered a 6.51% increase in robberies of commercial establishments, as well as a 111% increase in assaults on financial institutions. Faced with this reality, more companies are investing in electronic security systems..

It is precisely because of this situation that the data recently presented by ABESE – the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies – indicates a growth of 18% in the electronic security sector in the last year, with expectations of growing 19% in 2023. Revenue in 2022 reached R$ 11 billion, according to ABESE, which organizes Exposec, in partnership with Fiera Milano Brasil.

And the access control and remote concierge segments are also showing growth, according to a study by ABESE.

“In recent years, there has been a popularization of electronic security systems, greatly impacted by technological advances that have made installation easier and results more effective and faster. There is a growing demand for solutions that can act proactively to prevent certain events, such as those based on Artificial Intelligence, for example. We foresee a repressed demand that will require even more hiring for the sector,” says Selma Migliori, president of Abese.

Innovative products

For the first time at Exposec, the Atlas Anti-Theft Systems Highlights include AM and RF antennas and the AS320 mechanical anti-theft device for smartphones. According to the company, the mechanical anti-theft device for smartphones was developed to meet the growing demand from retail chains located in urban areas with high crime rates.

In the case of antennas, Atlas reports that they are effective in offering comprehensive protection to retail items. Equipped with integrated audible and visual alarms, they are designed to protect all types of products, from large boxes and bottles to delicate clothing and refrigerated goods.

“We believe this trade show will be an opportunity to connect with potential clients and share our experience. We want to demonstrate the importance of loss prevention in retail, as well as present our services and customized solutions to meet the needs of each client,” says Diego Bernardinis Machado, Financial Director of Atlas.

Because these are protection resources that cannot fail and must also be operational 24 hours a day, the TS Shara – A national manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and voltage stabilizers will be exhibiting its Gate Universal UPS line for use with gates, barriers, and access controls. In addition, it will also present a wide range of UPS systems capable of supporting CCTV camera circuits, DVRs, and alarms.

TS Shara has a factory in São Paulo and reports that it has 250 technical assistance units throughout the country, in addition to resellers and distributors that together total more than 380 channels, and exports to more than 15 countries.
