PositivoSEG launches at Exposec with a portfolio of 80 products.
Positivo Tecnologia launched PositivoSEG this Tuesday (13), a business unit for automation and electronic security with solutions for companies, schools, condominiums and residences. The announcement took place at Exposec – the largest security trade show in Latin America., which continues until Thursday (15) at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo.
The initial portfolio includes 80 products, such as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) devices, cameras, recorders and video surveillance systems, alarm panels and intrusion detection sensors, network and connectivity options such as routers and switches, as well as accessories that complement the categories. Present at the launch press conference were Hélio Bruck Rotenberg, CEO of Positivo Tecnologia, and José Ricardo Tobias, director of PositivoSEG.
“We are entering the automation and electronic security segment very well-structured and with the conditions to become a major player. The market is extremely opportune and is advancing at high levels. Furthermore, we have the necessary experience to deliver real value to our partners and clients with extremely reliable technological solutions and effective sales support initiatives. There is still much more to come,” says Rotenberg.
With an eye on a market that grows by an average of 15% per year and moves around R$11 billion in Brazil, according to ABESE (Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies), the company has intensified its investments in the last two years. Part of the Research & Development resources, accumulated at R$170 million in 2022, were allocated to boost the automation and electronic security businesses.
Gurtam brings the IoT zone to Exposec for the first time.
The integration of everyday objects with the internet enables the gathering and transmission of data, providing new tools to assist us. During the International Security Fair, Gurtam presents for the first time the IoT (Internet of Things) zone, which will be at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo, until Thursday (15).
In the space, Wialon will showcase its fleet management security solutions, which help protect vehicles and other assets. The platform's GPS tracking and geofencing technology, combined with remote vehicle shutdown and the option to integrate security technologies, allows fleet managers to monitor their vehicles in real time and respond quickly to security and protection incidents.
Denis Grebenikov, Head of Business Development Center at Gurtam, highlighted that the space will be a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders and exchange ideas with other professionals. “We are at Exposec for the fourth time, but this is the first time we have set up this space. We are present in more than 150 countries and have more than 3.5 million connected machines across our 2,400 partners,” he emphasized.
Robot dog and underwater drone in the fight against crime.
Cutting-edge security technology has always been a part of Exposec – the International Security Fair. Among the new products presented at this 24th edition are the robot dog and the underwater drone, exhibited in the [unclear/unclear - possibly a specific area or space]. G4S, one of the largest global security companies. Called Hero, the robot dog has several operational functionalities. The Aqua Patrol, on the other hand, is an underwater drone that can be used in the fight against drug trafficking. As Gloor explains, traffickers often weld drugs onto the hulls of ships, and this equipment conducts searches to identify such actions.
ABESE's conceptual space showcases technologies for safer cities.
In addition to hosting Exposec – the International Security Fair – ABESE – the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies – showcases innovative technologies in its booth to make cities safer.
As part of the ABESE Connect Arena, an area called Safe City recreates urban elements and the technologies that can make these spaces safer. Streets and avenues, schools, public transportation, and public safety are represented there.
For buses, there is passenger monitoring that counts occupants in real time, allowing for better route planning. There is also technology capable of recognizing driver fatigue to increase driving safety. In school zones, smart security cameras can automatically monitor suspicious behavior, such as the abandonment of suspicious objects and attempted break-ins.
For police vehicles, a new technology automates the generation of incident reports using a camera capable of identifying threats, such as a weapon. Connected to the police headquarters, it triggers an alert in seconds, identifies the nearest patrol cars, and dispatches them to the location. All in an automated way.
The idea behind the space is to foster investment and the adoption of technological innovations to make cities safer. “As an entity, ABESE has acted as an interface between companies and the public sector to better regulate the use of technologies in public safety and citizen well-being,” explains Robson Arantes, Innovation Coordinator at ABESE. “Recently, we began working together with a parliamentary front in the Alesp (Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo) to make it simpler for municipalities in the state to adopt intelligent security solutions in an agile and transparent way.”

Another advantage, according to the speaker, is the cultural adaptation towards a more harmonious coexistence, which also reduces cases of violence, injury, or offense on the part of residents and service providers.

The solutions increase the durability of devices and have wide applicability. “Companies, small and large condominiums are increasingly using smart gate systems. It's a growing market that needs uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for practically everything. If there's a power outage, the alarm won't sound, fingerprint reading won't work, and even the gate locks can be affected,” says Pedro Al Shara, CEO of the company.
The national company developed a universal technology allowing for wide applicability of the product, which can be connected to any electrical network, 110V or 220V, without any configuration, and also allows the user to choose the voltage at the output sockets.
