“This project represents a major achievement in reducing insecurity in society and for the electronic security sector in particular, which is receiving more incentives for its development in the fight against crime using technology,” points out Selma Migliori.

During the meeting, the Municipal Secretary of Security of São Paulo acknowledged that electronic security is fundamental for the city's management and reinforced that the objective is to take the City Cameras project to other locations. To this end, he created a group of secretaries from other municipalities and capitals.

The president of Abese, Selma Migliori, took the opportunity to invite the secretary to participate in the Exposec – International Security Fair, Exposec, the largest trade fair in the sector in Latin America, is promoted annually by the association. "Exposec is the major technological stage for the electronic security segment and an important center for promoting and developing the market," explains Selma.
The last edition of Exposec had the participation of more than 42,000 professionals from the sector, and for the 2018 edition, the event already has more than 800 confirmed brands. This year, the fair will take place at São Paulo Expo between May 22nd and 24th and will feature an island at Exposec for the Security Secretariat to demonstrate to visitors the City Camera project, with images being transmitted in real time from the city to the fair, in addition to the recently launched SP+Segura application, a collaborative, real-time mobile platform – available for Android and iOS – in which people send information about what is happening around them via the map. In some regions, there are already modules and vehicles from the Military Police, Fire Department, and Municipal Guard ready to respond to calls through the application.
“Participation in Exposec is fundamental for everyone involved in public or private security. All we need in this time of crisis is to promote security with fewer resources, and Exposec is moving in that direction, since technology can optimize resources, just as municipal public management has been doing. One example is the City Cameras program, a collaborative platform aimed at curbing crime in São Paulo,” emphasized José Roberto Rodrigues de Oliveira.
