CCTV Guide – 06/06/2016

Held from May 10th to 12th, 2016, at São Paulo Expo in São Paulo (SP), the 19th edition of Exposec | International Security Fair concluded with a record attendance exceeding 42,000 visitors. The leading event in Latin America for the security sector, the fair brought together 800 exhibiting brands, both national and international, showcasing solutions for the electronic, private, personal, property, and corporate security segments.

“"What we have seen over the years is the consolidation of EXPOSEC as a business-generating center for the security sector and a meeting point for professionals from all over the country. The continuous pursuit of development, training, and professionalization of the sector, and the growing expansion in number and quality of visitors and exhibitors, has transformed Exposec into the great showcase for security with integrated solutions, bringing together..."

”Buyers from Brazil and abroad,” said Rimantas Sipas, Commercial Director of Cipa Fiera Milano, organizer of the event in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies (Abese).

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS – The fair presented the market with over 10,000 items on display. Among the innovations, Full HD cameras, different types of biometrics, and intelligent software stood out. These solutions are used for various applications such as: integrated security projects; information security; electronic security technology applied to connectivity; projects integrating information security and asset protection; and the integration of electronic security with automation and the internet.

According to the president of Abese, Selma Migliori, Exposec 2016 exceeded expectations. “The fair is the major technological stage for the electronic security sector and a catalyst for new business, bringing together leading brands in the segment each year. In addition, it offers training, knowledge dissemination, and professional development, showcasing technological solutions and how to use them.” The executive also highlighted some of the fair's initiatives.

Associations held at the event included the launch of the certification validation for the industry associated with Abese and a guide aimed at consumers, in addition to the 2nd edition of TecShow, which presented visitors with cutting-edge technologies such as remote access control, intelligent software, and IP cameras that capture images from a long distance.

SECTOR POTENTIAL – The electronic security market continues to register growth rates. Revenue in 2015 was 61% higher than in 2014, reaching R$5.4 billion. For 2016, the outlook for the sector is for growth of 4 to 5%, with revenue of approximately R$5.6 billion.

According to the president of Abese, this is due to a combination of factors. “On the one hand, business owners are seeking alternatives to face the challenges of the crisis and are making their companies more competitive through investments in new technologies, product and service quality, training, and production capacity. On the other hand, the opportunities generated by the reduction in security investments by federal, state, and municipal governments stimulate private investment, facilitate access to new technologies, create a need for individuals and companies to continue investing in preventative security and updating existing systems, and reduce imports due to the rise in the exchange rate.”.

The 20th edition of EXPOSEC | International Security Fair will be held from May 23 to 25, 2017, at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo (SP).
