Held last week, the 23rd Exposec was a historic edition and a milestone for the electronic security sector in Brazil, according to its organizers.
The trade fair reaffirmed its importance to the entire security production chain in the country through the new product launches and solutions presented during the three-day event.
According to Maurício Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil, the organizer of the fair in partnership with ABESE – the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies – the event brought together 800 exhibiting brands and more than 48,800 visitors.
“"Thanks to the partnership with ABESE and companies in the sector, we were able to hold the largest Exposec ever," Macedo points out.
“"The fair proved to be an important driver of economic development, with business generated in the aisles and stands, in addition to many contacts made during the exhibition days that will boost sales in the coming months," he added.
According to ABESE's president, Selma Migliori, the large number of exhibitors and visitors at the fair demonstrates the strength of the sector in the country.
“"The market participation in this edition of Exposec is living proof of the strength of the recovery of security projects in Brazil and Latin America, and of the resilience of our companies and professionals," he analyzes.
“"We conclude the event with the certainty that the sector is on the right track to consolidate itself as one of the pillars of the Brazilian economy," he adds.
The highlight of the opening of Exposec 2022 was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between ABESE and the Innovation Center of the University of São Paulo – Inova/USP.
The agreement aims to encourage research and development in the field of electronic security.
The volume of deals closed or initiated exceeded the expectations of the participants in this edition.
The product innovations presented by the companies, including the ABESE Connect Arena with the participation of security managers, IoT and Startups, were also one of the main attractions of the fair.
According to the association, this is a strong indicator of sector growth, with investments in new technologies to serve the market with more efficient solutions.
The venue offered, among its attractions, an auditorium for lectures with industry experts, as well as booths dedicated to market innovations, such as the Startup Island and the Innovation Island.
The Startup Island brought together five companies – Omnicog, Noleak Defence, Intralab IO, Palqee and Lanup, chosen in a call made by ABESE, and they bet on the visibility of the fair to gain clients and, who knows, investors.
The Innovation Island has already achieved its goal of bringing research and development closer to companies in the electronic security sector.
The following institutions participated in the event: the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), the Institute of Exponential Technologies (ITEX), the National Bank for Economic and Social Development – BNDES, Inova USP, the Center for Studies and Research of the North and Northeast (NEPEN), and the ABC Development Agency.
