The largest security trade show in Latin America, previously scheduled for November of this year, will now take place between June 8th and 10th, 2021.
São Paulo, August 4, 2020 – Due to the still adverse situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic throughout the country, Cipa Fiera Milano and ABESE – the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies, organizers of EXPOSEC, have jointly decided to postpone the 23rd edition of the largest security trade fair in Latin America to June 8-10, 2021. Previously, the event was scheduled to take place from November 23-25 at São Paulo Expo.
“Prioritizing the health, well-being, and safety of exhibitors, visitors, suppliers, service providers, employees, and the entire civil society is a commitment of fundamental importance to us. Added to this is the insecurity caused by the volatility of the economy, a premise with which we also sympathize,” states Maurício Duval Macedo, general director of Cipa Fiera Milano.
A survey conducted by Abese in April and May with industries, distributors, and service providers across the country, regarding the impacts of Covid-19 on the sector, recorded that 401,300 companies in the segment noticed an increase in demand for security solutions geared towards the new demands that arose due to the pandemic. According to the survey, among the most sought-after technologies during this period are thermal cameras and facial recognition.
“Even with the market heating up during the pandemic, we decided to postpone the in-person event to next year, as we want to protect all Exposec participants. We will still be presenting new developments to the market this year. Our team continues working to provide connections and relevant content in a digital format, which we will announce soon,” says Selma Migliori, president of Abese.
